I live in Rapid City. I like to run, cook, garden, work on cars, crochet, play with my cats, and read.
If you had $5,000 to spend at a running store but only 5 minutes to spend it, what few things would you grab first?
All of the New Balances in size 12, with a side of Tailwind
What’s your go-to running outfit?
Anything bright! Typically a tie dye and my blue and pink hat!
Any pre run or pre race habits?
Pre race I like to get away from others for a bit and allow myself to run through a simple strategy for whatever it is I’m running.
What’s one of the best running related investments you’ve made?
My foam roller/thick yoga mat for stretching

Toughest race you’ve ever done? Why?
The 2024 Twin Cities Marathon, I had done less than 30 miles in the month leading up to it and was thoroughly unprepared.
What advice would you give to a new runner? What advice should they ignore?
Be consistent and train at a level that allows you to be consistent.

Easy runs – Comedy/History podcasts
Speed days – Rock or EDM
What’s one running item you think is a gimmick and won’t buy?
With the amount of gear I’ve bought and have sitting around, I am exactly the wrong person to answer this!
If you could go run with any living or dead historical figure, who would it be and why?
Teddy Roosevelt seems like he would appreciate a nice trail, and I assume he’d have some fun antidotes.
